ISKCON Temple

ISKCON Temple is a tremendous place to visit for spending time with loved ones. A very good garden with Sea shore beside adds the pleasant look. It is a place which can be a visited along with Central Park which is adjacent to it. As soon as you enter the premises, you will be given a smiling reception with the chanting of 'Hare Krishna'. Inside the Temple devotees sit in a disciplined way and sing devotional songs of Lord Krishna. 'Prasadam' consists of rice and other vegetable curry and also sweets. Central Park

CIDCO developed and maintains Central Park, one of Asia's largest theme parks, located in Sectors 23, 24 and 25 of Kharghar in Navi Mumbai. The park, although not fully finished, is open to the public and is gradually becoming a major tourist attraction, even though it is not yet finished. There are several playgrounds, walking trails, jogging tracks, fountains, water sports, amusement rides, playgrounds, sports clubs, botanical gardens, amphitheatres and recreation areas in the park, which spans 80 hectares. Pandavkada Falls

Pandavkada Falls is a waterfall situated in Kharghar, a suburb of Navi Mumbai. Pandavkada Waterfall is a popular picnic spot for one day because it is a type of 'plunge' waterfall that pours massive amounts of water onto the rocky surface underneath. Pandavkada Waterfall is about 107 meters high.

History

Kharghar Introduction

Kharghar is a node of the city of Navi Mumbai in Maharashtra, India. It is developed and maintained by CIDCO. Kharghar is located on the Sion Panvel Highway at a less than one hour drive from the heart of Mumbai city. The area started developing in 1995 and now has a number of ready and under-construction projects both in the commercial and residential segments. Kharghar is said to be the third most developed node of Navi Mumbai after Vashi and Nerul. Introduction Navi Mumbai is envisaged as a metro sized counter magnet to reduce the pressure on the Mumbai metropolis. It is planned as a polycentric new town with a series of nodal concentrations along mass-transport corridors. When fully built, it is expected to have 14 such townships with a combined population holding capacity of four millions and one million jobs.
