The Mumbai police has sought a legal opinion on whether murder charges can be pressed against Sohanlal Walmiki, who had sexually assaulted KEM nurse Aruna Shanbaug and left her in a permanent vegetative state. Aruna died in Parel’s KEM Hospital on May 18 after suffering a cardio-respiratory arrest.
