The south west monsoon has hit Mumbai with a bang. The last 24 hours especially, the Colaba and Santacruz observatory recorded 111.6mm and 59.2 mm of rainfall respectively which has been the maximum rainfall received in a 24 hour period since the onset of monsoon this year in Mumbai on June 12.
