Several residents of Marine Drive and its vicinity are of the opinion that the entire debate over replacement of sodium vapour lamps by LED units on the road has been blown out of proportion by politicians. While many residents said yellow lights gave a heritage feel to the area, there was a class of people who wanted the cost-effective LED lights.
