Uber and the transport department are on collision course when it comes to installing the physical panic buttons in cabs. While transport commissioner Mahesh Zagade has cracked a whip and made it mandatory for all private taxis to have the physical panic switch near passenger seat, Uber feels these buttons will “cause confusion and are prone to wear and tear.”
