Consuming ‘contaminated’ water kills Malad toddler

An 18-month-old boy from Malad (east) died allegedly after consuming contaminated water being supplied by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday. A case of negligence and causing hurt has been registered at Kurar police station against BMC officers of the P-North ward, against the developer in whose housing project the boy’s family lived, and the manager of his housing society. Maharashtra 2nd in number of women arrested for rash driving

Maharashtra has recorded 183 cases of women arrested for rash driving or road rage in 2014, which accounts for 15.6% of the total arrests in the country and puts the state in the second position on the list of such arrests.
