For close to two decades, a Sion resident (64), filed a number of petitions over the property of a man, Deepak Patel, who died in 1996, claiming at various times to be his caretaker and then his wife. Kasturba doc’s kin say charge of graft bid to derail career

Even as the BMC launched an internal inquiry in the wake of allegations of cheating made against one of its doctors, the family of the accused on Wednesday alleged a conspiracy by co-workers. The chief medical officer of the BMC-run Kasturba Hospital was arrested on Tuesday on charges of accepting Rs 23.1 lakh from two individuals after promising MBBS seats for their children.
